WWWE Logo Synchronous

When you transmit data in a synchronous fashion, it simply means that the data flow is "timed" by an electronic clock. Computers in a high-speed network often communicate in a synchronous mode. Most communication between personal computers is asynchronous, since it is done by telephones, and therefore not monitored by electronic timing.
